Canine College is a 1 to 4-Level outreach obedience dog training program for the
whole family. Offered by trainers from Our Furry Friends Training Center, Canine
College uses effective, up-to-date and humane methods. We offer Canine Good Citizen
Tests and convenient private lessons in your home and in your own neighborhood, in
Sacramento, El Dorado and Amador Counties. We include an AKC Canine Good
Citizen test for FREE at the completion of Level 2. You can join Canine College at any
level. We even offer College Prep Programs for puppies!! Agility For Fun, Rally
Obedience, Preparing for Therapy Dog Work, and Conformation classes - group and
private - are also available.

Since 1999, Cherie Maitland of Our Furry Friends -Training with Respect and
Understanding - has offered small group classes, in-home lessons, private lessons in
real-life settings, phone consultations, and behavioral appointments dealing with more
serious issues. She offers a free phone consultation to every potential student to help
you decide which would be the best avenue for your training. There may be instances
where taking group classes at your local training center plus participating in our
individualized programs would make the perfect training combination!

Level 1: Becoming the Leader of the Pack and Real Life with Real Dogs
Level 2: Good Dog - Good Life and Becoming an AKC Canine Good Citizen
Level 3: Fun With a Well-Trained Dog!!!
Level 4: Advanced Teamwork
College-Prep Program is available for puppies under 6 months.
Graduation with an "Associate Degree" after Level 2 includes a framed certificate and
Canine Good Citizen Certification after you pass your Canine Good Citizen test!! If
you continue on to your "Bachelors Degree" you receive your "Diploma," a framed
graduation photo of you and your dog, and some wonderful free training items.
