The following classes meet at Our Furry Friends Training Centers - in Placerville and
Pine Grove. For classes in Fair Oaks visit group training classes. If you need an
Obedience and Behavior Verification form filled out by a trainer, please contact us. We
have trainers to do this for free in Sacramento, El Dorado, Amador and Calaveras
Counties. There are also Canine Good Citizen Preparation classes and tests available -
serving all 4 counties.
Introduction to Therapy Dog Visits:
Thurs Noon - 1:45pm, June 3 in Placerville OR
Tues 6:30 - 8:15pm, July 13 in Placerville
Fri 9 - 11am, June 25 in Pine Grove
Thinking about doing Therapy Dog work and Animal-Assisted Activities with your dog at nursing
homes, hospitals, schools and more? Learn about this wonderful field and take a pre-test with
your dog to see if you and your dog are candidates. $35

Preparing and Training for Therapy Dog Visits:
Thurs Noon - 1pm, June 10 - July 1 in Placerville OR
Tues 6:30 - 7:30pm, July 20 - August 10 in Placerville
After the group Introduction class or your own private research or lesson, train your dog to pass
your organizations Therapy Dog requirements test. Role play visits to various groups of people.
Get comfortable working with your dog around lots of activity, distractions, wheelchairs, small
spaces and more. Strengthen your dog's obedience and improve your handling skills. $88

TTouch is coming to Our Furry Friends Training Center in El Dorado County in the format of a
small group workshop! Learn how to enhance the human-animal bond. Improve the
performance and well-being of your companion animal friend. You will also learn to alleviate
minor behavioral issues without fear or force. TTouch is not massage therapy. It is an animal
behavioral method that stimulates the function and vitality of the cells and activates the unused
neural pathways to the brain to make positive changes in your companion animal. $55
Instructor: Victoria Swiger is a certified Tellington TTouch Practitioner I and a retired certified
Veterinarian Assistant. She has been working with and training animals for over 20 years.
